An upgrade to the original 1980's New World supermarket at Devonport. The brief was to renovate the facade, and enhance the entry approach into the building. The project included the relocation of the pedestrian crossing and main entry into the supermarket, the replacement of a mansard roof fascia with a modern cladding system, and the installation of a feature structural glass cantilevered canopy.

The conceptual idea was to create a layering and overlapping of solid and glass elements. The canopy sweeps up in relation to the steep parkway beyond, visually dissolving in to the sky by being constructed purely in glass.
