We were engaged to provide architectural and structural services to upgrade the existing building, originally built in 1998. The entrances and serveover areas were the focus of improvements. The internal layout was reconfigured to maximise retail space, wind lobbies were created at each entry point so the retail areas could extend out into the main foyer area creating an open plan space. A new cafe was built over part of a pedestrian ramp creating a better connection to the park outlook.

Additional Glazing was added in front of the extended checkout area providing more natural daylight and outlook towards Victoria Park.  Feature ceilings and modulated bulkhead panels were designed to visually break down the foodhall space to its various departments. Solid concrete walkway barriers were cut out and replaced with a ribbon of glass to open up and enhance the entry approach from the bottom end of College Hill.
